Privacy Policy
Effective Date: May 25, 2026 · Marvelous Co
Who We Are
Marvelous Co is a leadership consulting firm founded by Jordan Phelps. The Excalibur Leadership Assessment is a proprietary tool administered through marvelousco.net. For questions about this policy, contact us at jordan@marvelousco.net.
What We Collect
When you complete the Excalibur assessment, we collect:
- Your name and email address
- Your company or organization name (optional)
- Your responses to all assessment questions, including scenario choices and open-ended answers
- Your archetype results and profile report
- Basic technical data — your IP address and the date and time of submission
We do not collect payment information, government identification, or sensitive personal data beyond what is listed above.
How We Use Your Data
Your data is used for the following purposes:
- Delivering your results — to generate and email you your Excalibur archetype profile
- Assessment research — to analyze response patterns across participants and improve the accuracy, fairness, and depth of the Excalibur scoring model over time
- Service administration — to manage access codes and prevent abuse of the assessment platform
We do not use your data for advertising, marketing to third parties, or any automated decision-making that affects your employment or legal rights.
Data Retention
We retain your assessment data indefinitely as part of our longitudinal research program. The long-term purpose of this research is to understand how leadership archetypes correlate with organizational outcomes over time — which requires multi-year data sets.
If you would like your data removed from our records, you may request deletion at any time by contacting us at jordan@marvelousco.net. We will fulfill deletion requests within 30 days.
Who Sees Your Data
Your assessment responses are confidential. Specifically:
- Your self-perception answer (the opening private question) is never shared with any manager or organization
- If your assessment was administered as part of an organizational engagement with Marvelous Co, your results may be reviewed by Jordan Phelps in aggregate with other team members — but individual reports are only shared with your explicit consent
- We do not sell, rent, or license your data to any third party
- We use the Anthropic API to process open-ended responses. This means anonymized response text is transmitted to Anthropic's servers for analysis. Anthropic's privacy policy governs that processing — their API terms specify that data is not used to train models without consent
Data Security
We store your data on Hostinger's managed hosting infrastructure, which uses industry-standard security practices. Sensitive fields are stored in a secured database accessible only to authorized Marvelous Co personnel. We do not store passwords or payment credentials.
While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no system is completely secure. We encourage you not to include highly sensitive personal information in open-ended response fields.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent for research use (your results will be removed from aggregate analysis)
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at jordan@marvelousco.net.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our practices evolve. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the assessment after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
