Not from a business plan. From a realization.
Marvelous Co was founded by Jordan Phelps, not from a business plan, but from a realization. After years of building systems, leading teams, and quietly solving problems that other people couldn't name, the full picture finally came into focus while running operations at a distribution center in Twin Falls, Idaho. Everything he had built across a career was working. The map was drawn.
The honest conclusion: staying inside one operation was the smaller use of what he now knew how to do. The people who needed it most weren't just in one building.
That same season brought a harder lesson: one about what leadership actually is, and what happens when organizations confuse activity for it. That lesson didn't leave. It became the foundation for Excalibur, Marvelous Co's proprietary leadership diagnostic, and the beginning of a methodology that will eventually span individual assessment, team development, and full leadership course work.
The operational work runs through the Marvelous Performance Engine, a five-phase system built to stabilize what's broken, standardize what's working, optimize for performance, scale with intention, and return control to the people running the business every day.
Every dollar this company generates moves toward funding an animal sanctuary. That's not a footnote. It's the reason the work has to be excellent.
